  • I have read this article and many of the posts about it. I am simply stating my viewpoint here...I have 3 children; a very healthy 15 year old and healthy (yet they were very premature) twin girls that are now 3 years old.

  • I would have to say communication is key, at least it is at my house. My son is 15, in 10th grade and still talks to me about 90% of things (good, bad and ugly). Very shocking for me as I grew up in a "don't ask, don't tell" household.

  • "A mother should have some concern he wants nail polish, which is usually reserved for girls." WOW...what a backwards way of thinking...are we not moving beyond stereotypical sex-defining roles? Boys get toy cars and girls get dolls?!?! That's just crazy.

  • I too agree with Vic-526270. I found it completely refreshing on a trip to South Beach, Miami. There were people there from many different cultures and countries. All the little ones were just running around nude or with bottoms on...having a great time. No one gave it a second thought/glance.

  • Children should be allowed to express themselves. They should be allowed to learn and grow naturally without fear of everything being "the wrong thing to do".
